The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) will be holding workshops throughout the week of Feb. 6. Each workshop will be held by different members of NTHS, and will highlight a different technical skill each day.

The workshops varied from resume writing to branding and logo design. Junior and NTHS member Delia Noone of Middletown expressed excitement about discussing topics relevant to career paths she is interested in pursuing.

“I’m looking forward to discussing something that’s actually relevant to any career someone could pursue in the future, like me,” Noone said.

Senior and SkillsUSA/NTHS president Sarah Lynch of Interlaken hopes students will find value in learning new skills they might not have attempted before attending one of these workshops.

“I hope students will take this opportunity to try something they’ve never tried before, be that logo design or poetry. It’s a fun lunchtime activity that students can do with friends, but they can also learn very interesting and new skills,” Lynch said.

Junior and NTHS member Ebenezer Shim of Spring Lake Heights, who has also attended these workshops in addition to putting on one of her own, has greatly enjoyed attending each workshop.

“I got something out of each one. There was a wide variety, and they were a great way to relax during lunch and learn something new,” Shim said.
