WALL – In her second week of representing Republican Mitt Romney in the CHS Mock Election senior Taylor Walters of Interlaken has been excitedly campaigning for the elections next Thursday, November 1, according to Walters herself.
Taking on the role of a candidate for the election was a big responsibility for the students, but this decision was a no brainier for Walters. Being a devout Republican, she decided to represent Romney because she completely supports his ideals.
“I chose to run as Romney because I agree with his values,” said Walters. “I back him up 100 percent.”
According to Walters, Obama’s noncommittal actions over the last four years have greatly contributed to her enthusiasm to take on the role of Romney.
“Obama’s current employment record is not promising,” she said.
Walters plans to win the school’s overall votes using simple facts, strong rallying and powerful press conferences. As other candidates are collecting election bucks, Walters is confident that her numbers are sturdy.
“We have about 30 election bucks,” Walters added with a reassuring nod.
Being a dedicated Republican, Walters said that she believes Romney is the man America needs for reconstructing, strengthening and stabilizing the land of the free.
Even with her strong Republican beliefs, Walters finds the election process enticing.
“I’m very excited, regardless of the outcome,” she said. “I’m just supporting what I believe is best for America’s future.”
