Students thank CHS custodian Ray Petersen for his work

In the back hallway of CHS, there is a bulletin board filled with bright neon notes that all share a united message: thanking CHS head custodian Ray Petersen.
The bulletin board, organized by the SGA, went up shortly before winter break.
“We wanted to show [Mr. Petersen] just how much the CHS students love and appreciate him and all that he does for the school,” SGA president and senior Lucy Battista of Tinton Falls said.
The SGA was inspired by the notes written for former CHS teachers Tom Ross and Sabina Campbell at the time of their retirement.
Fitness teacher Virginia Clevenger said Mr. Petersen told her that when the display went up, he was surprised and happy to read the positive messages.
“We are so lucky to have such a great custodian at our school,” Battista said.
