The class of 2019 took one of their final trips together to New York City this past Wednesday, Sept. 26. The seniors walked around Times Square, bowled at Bowlmor Lanes and saw the Broadway musical “Waitress.”

Although the trip had a rough start for senior James Krall of Middletown, he had a good time overall.

“The whole way there I was joking about seeing Spider-Man in New York because Peter [Parker] lives there. When I saw a man dressed as Spider-Man, it slipped my mind that those people ask hard for tips for pictures,” Krall said. “So I ran up, gave him a hug, took a picture and me and my friends were surrounded by them asking for tips.”

Senior Tali Petto of Marlboro enjoyed the day and loved spending it with her friends.

“I loved ‘Waitress.’ It was really funny and it was so much fun to watch with all my friends,” Petto said.

Senior Grace Treshock of Monmouth Beach described the trip as bittersweet.

“Overall the trip was such a blast but what made it so much fun was the people,” Treshock said. “We always have a good time together but it was nice to be in the city with everyone and just appreciate being together before we’re not anymore.”
