“This piece is a painting I drew about a month ago and I really like how it came out. I worked hard to make the texture of the grass on the hills show. This painting has a lot of Japanese influence within. Normally, I don’t paint a lot of perspective or buildings so this was out of my comfort zone, but I really enjoyed painting it.” – Sophomore Alex Batzar of Middletown
