First day assembly, frosty treats welcome students back

BY ISABELLA CAVAZZONI AND EMMA WILENTA - Students returned to CHS this morning with tanned skin and tales of their summer 2015 vacation. Seniors soaked in their last first day of school while the freshmen were exposed to completely new surroundings and classmates.

By MARK DISPIGNA -After they recited two-minute long speeches, candidates anxiously waited to hear their names called over the loudspeaker on June 4. At the end of the day, members of the rising sophomore, junior and senior class councils were announced. Overall, seven new representatives were elected throughout the different councils.

Pink team wins Color Wars, poor weather causes shift in events

BY ISABELLA CAVAZZONI AND EMMA WILENTA - Pink team members left school victorious Friday as the winners of the 12th annual Color Wars. The day's schedule was shifted in the morning due to poor weather conditions, but all events were completed as planned, SGA President Lauryn Masciana of Middletown said.
